Habit Hound says it can't block apps. What now?
App blocking requires Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls authorization. Open Settings, then Screen Time, make sure it is turned on, then open Habit Hound and grant authorization when prompted. On a managed device, such as school or family Screen Time, the device owner may need to approve the request.
I selected apps to block, but they aren't appearing by name.
Apple's Family Controls framework keeps your selections opaque, even to the app that requested them. Habit Hound can show the icon you picked, but not the underlying app's name. This is by design, and it applies to every iOS app built on this framework.
How many bypasses do I get?
On the free plan you get one 15-minute bypass per day, taken from the shield when you reach for a blocked app. Habit Hound Premium lets you allow up to three bypasses a day, at 15 or 20 minutes each. Bypasses used are counted on the Progress screen, so you can see the pattern.
What does Strict Mode do?
Strict Mode is a Premium setting that removes the bypass entirely. With it on, a blocked app stays blocked until your habits for the day are done, or until a Time Lock window ends. It is the strongest option in the app. You can still revoke Screen Time access in Settings or delete Habit Hound, which is true of every app built on Apple's framework.
How does Time Lock behave?
Time Lock is a Premium feature that blocks your selected apps between set hours with no habit attached, for example 9 AM to 5 PM for work or 10 PM to 11 PM to wind down. During the window the shield shows the schedule instead of a habit count, for example "Wind Down until 11 PM". Finishing your habits does not end a Time Lock window early. The window does that.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not inside Habit Hound. Open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Habit Hound, then choose Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I request a refund?
Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
Will my habits sync between devices?
Not yet. Habit and task data is stored on your device, the one where you created it. iCloud sync is on the roadmap. Until it ships, treat Habit Hound as a single-device app.
Where is my data sent?
Your habits, tasks, and the apps you selected to block stay on your device. Habit Hound uses Firebase Analytics to record anonymous usage events, for example that a habit was completed or that the paywall was shown. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete all my data?
Uninstall Habit Hound. iOS removes the app's local database, including habits, tasks, and bypass history, when you delete the app. To stop analytics going forward, turn off Settings, Privacy and Security, Analytics and Improvements, Share with App Developers.
